Stand out. Press in.

Relevo & Vinco is an inkless packaging workshop in Porto. We emboss, deboss, cut and fold raw board, so your brand is something people feel before they read it.

Ink fades. Foil peels. Pressure stays.

Every box we make carries its brand in the board itself: raised where it should catch the light, cut where it should hold a shadow.

Nothing to scuff off in transit and nothing to separate at the recycling bin. The whole box goes back to pulp.

Six ways to say it without ink

Each finish is pressure, a blade or heat on raw board. Most boxes combine two or three; the sample kit holds all six, so you can choose with your fingertips.

Flat to finished in four moves

One flat sheet goes in, a box comes out. Each move leaves its mark in the board, not on it.

Every box we make starts life as a single sheet on the cutting table. Here is what happens to it on its way to you.

Prototype in a week, production in four.

  1. Step 1

    Dieline

We draw your box flat: every cut, crease and glue flap on one sheet, sized to the millimetre around your product.

  2. Step 2

    Press

A brass die raises or sinks your mark into the board. No plates, no ink, nothing to dry.

  3. Step 3

    Cut

A steel-rule die punches the outline and any windows in a single stroke.

  4. Step 4

    Fold

The scores give way, the flaps lock, and a flat sheet stands up as a box.

A prototype stands up in one afternoon.

Boxes we have pressed

Four clients who swapped printed cartons for plain board with a shape, a shadow and a crease of their own.

  1. A kraft takeaway box beside two cups and wooden cutlery on a pale table

    Morrow Coffee

A food box, cup sleeves and a napkin band, all cut from one sheet. The logo is debossed on the lid; nothing is printed anywhere.

    Finish
    Deboss and score
    Board
    E-flute, 1.5 mm
    Run
    12,000 sets
  2. A greyboard box with its lid half open against an orange background

    Halde Candles

A greyboard lid that sinks slowly over its base, with a blind-embossed mark exactly where the thumb lands.

    Finish
    Blind emboss
    Board
    Greyboard, 2 mm
    Run
    3,000 boxes
  3. Three plain board boxes stacked one on top of another

    Saltbook Stationery

Three sizes that nest into one column. A burnished band runs across all three, so the stack reads as one object.

    Finish
    Burnish and texture plate
    Board
    Kraft liner, 350 g
    Run
    1,500 sets
  4. A wall of small kraft cartons stacked in neat rows

    Quinta do Vale

An olive-oil carton built to be stacked into a wall in the shop. The debossed mark lines up from box to box.

    Deboss
    Board
    Kraft liner, 350 g

A small press in Porto

Eleven people, two platen presses and a cutting table in the Miguel Bombarda arts quarter.

A workbench with a cutting mat, tape, a ruler and cutting tools under warm light

Inês Barros and Tomás Reis started the workshop in 2014, after ten years of printing cartons they knew would be in the bin by lunchtime.

They kept the dies, dropped the ink and built every job since around one question: what can the board say on its own?

We stopped asking what colour a box should be. Now we ask where the light should land.

Five boards we press

The cut edges of stacked corrugated board, showing the wavy flutes between flat liners

All five come from certified mills within 400 km of Porto. Each takes relief differently, and the cross-sections show why.

Before you ask

The questions we hear most from brands moving off printed cartons. Anything else, write to us.

Can a box carry a brand with no ink?

Yes. A debossed mark on plain board is recognised by its shape and shadow, the way a coin or a wax seal is. We test every mark at arm's length and under shop lighting before we cut the die.

What is the smallest run you press?

250 boxes for a pilot run. Below that, the sample kit and a hand-cut prototype are usually the better first step.

How long does a die last?

A brass emboss die runs for hundreds of thousands of impressions. We keep yours on a shelf in Porto, so a reorder only takes an email.

Is the whole box recyclable?

Completely. With no ink, foil, lamination or plastic window, the box goes into paper recycling whole, and the board itself is made from certified fibre.

Do you ship outside the EU?

Sample kits go worldwide. Production runs ship across the EU and to the UK; further afield, we quote freight per order.

Let's press something.

Tell us what goes in the box. We reply within two working days with a structure, a board and a price.
